Celebrating Really Wild Lockleaze with a Short Film

We’re delighted to share this short film about the Really Wild Lockleaze. In the film, Lockleaze residents and staff share the story of the project, and explain why we believe that communities coming together to improve their local area for nature is so important.

We commissioned Bristol film-maker Jon Aitken, who really took the time to get to know Lockleaze and the project by coming to several events and meeting loads of Really Wild residents. We hope you’ll agree he did a brilliant job, as did Huma, Noman, Martin, Steve and Amy, who feature in the film.

Really Wild Lockleaze is a project by Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust, supporting residents to rewild their gardens, housing greens, verges and all sorts of marginal and public land. We’ve also created a local Nature Network, held lots of workshops, started a bee monitoring group and much more. You can find out more at our website, facebook, resource page or by visiting our photo exhibition.

The project is part of the Community Climate Action Project, coordinated by Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership and kindly supported by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund.
