Resources

On this page you’ll find detailed information about the project and resources we’ve created based on everything we’ve learnt about rewilding in urban communities. If you’d like to get your neighbours involved in nature action, rewild your verge or read the story of Really Wild Lockleaze, you’ve come to the right place.

Really wild lockleaze: summary report

Did you know Lockleaze residents have planted 1400 trees through Really Wild Lockleaze?

We’ve totted up the numbers, compiled the surveys and are proud to present a final summary report. It includes the amazing impact Lockleaze residents have created for nature, as well as the impact working together for nature has had in Lockleaze. It also includes a bit of information on the background of the project- a full detailed report will be available on this shortly.

Wild streets of lockleaze: how to green your neighbourhood

Do you have a roadside verge or housing green near where you live? The Really Wild Lockleaze Project has been working with residents to team up and create nature habitat including wildflower meadows, hedgerows, fruit trees, herbs and berry bushes on council owned green space.

This how-to guide includes a step by step process, dos and don'ts and advice on monitoring your wildlife.

‘Wild Streets of Lockleaze’ was launched online at the Wessex Citizen Science Showcase by our Community Ecologist Eric- you can watch the launch here, including a great Q and A.

Wessex Citizen Science Showcase was organised by the Bristol Natural History Consortium in partnership with Natural England, funded by Defra’s Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment (NCEA) Programme).
