The First Resident Led Community Iftar in Lockleaze

Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust would like to say a massive thank you to our wonderful residents who planned, co-hosted and attended the first Lockleaze Community Iftar.

This was the first of our programme of eight community feasts, each created to bring our community together, to make it stronger and better connected.

So many different people coming together and enjoying each others company.

Over the last few months we have worked closely with local residents from the Friday Men's prayer group, held at The Hub, and local residents from the Senegambian association.

I loved the event! It was very well planned and very welcoming.

Really good to see everyone working together.

Their patience, guidance and participation ensured the Iftar was a successful, positive and joyful event and a great example of what we can achieve when we work together.

A wonderful way to bring people together to help our community grow.

Almost 70 residents of all ages came together, to learn, to meet their neighbours and to enjoy a fabulous meal together.

It was very interesting, thank you for a new experience. So many great conversations!

For Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust providing space, opportunity and support to help residents achieve positive change for themselves and their community is key to all we do.

The food was amazing and such a great atmosphere-thank you, I cant wait to help at the next one.

Please see the poster for the full schedule of community feasts.
